MITCHELL – Charles William Moore, 77, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at his residence.

Born February 22, 1944, in Colbert County, Alabama, he was the son of Earl and Madgie (LeMay) Moore.

Charles was a self-employed mechanic.  He enjoyed going to the casino and being around family and friends. Charles loved to tell stories.

His parents; daughter, Lola Vickers; and siblings, Jewell Carroll, Jimmy Moore, Marie Moore, and Elizabeth Moore, preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 8, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor James Moore officiating.  Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.

    My dad was the toughest guy I knew, the one memory that I love is when I was showing my brother Jamie Moore some martial art kicks and Jamie went around kicking everything in the house and Dad and momma Mona got on me for teaching Jamie that stuff but dad would laugh about it after Mona left the room. He would say, now don't be horse playing before you get hurt. That was over 38 years ago but I remember it like it was yesterday, Rip Dad, we love you.
