MITCHELL Jim Davis, 66, Mitchell, passed away at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at his residence.
Born December 19, 1942, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Robert L. and Stella E. (Meadows) Davis. He married Linda L. Calloway August 12, 1978.
He retired from Cummins Engines in Columbus. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post No. 250, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and Spring Mill Fraternal Order of Police.

His parents preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 21, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Lee Hupp officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery with graveside rites conducted by the Sons of the American Legion Squadron No. 250.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
