MITCHELL – Nancy Elaine Chastain, 79, went to be with the Lord at 4:45 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2013, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.

Born May 27, 1934, in Tatham Springs, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Clarence and Effie Belle (Terrell) Terrell. She married Reverend Claude Chastain, Jr. July 9, 1953, and he preceded her in death October 4, 2013.

Nancy was a homemaker and a member of the Mitchell Church of the Nazarene.

Surviving:            son, Don (Debbie) Chastain, Mitchell
                 daughters, Joyce (Jim) Coulter, Bedford
                                 Linda (Scott) Pendley, Bloomington
         grandchildren,  Stacy Bartlett, Joshua Chastain, Jonathan Holt, Katie
Chastain, and Eric Holt
                                6 great grandchildren
                  brother, Hubert Terrell, Mitchell

Her parents; husband; and siblings, Dorothy Davis, R. C. Terrell, J. B. Terrell, Lucy Terrell, Dalf Terrell, and Barney Terrell, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 6, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Reverend Matt Moore officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday and from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
