MITCHELL Ollie Ray Burton, 75, Mitchell, passed away at 2:40 a.m. Thursday, October 8, 2009, at Bedford Regional Medical Center.
Born December 31, 1933, in Orange County, he was the son of Roy and Mildred (Tolliver) Burton. He married Charlotte Joan Willis December 31, 1960.
He retired from General Motors and was a member of UAW Local 440. Ollie was a member of the Marvin R. Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107, Bedford Boat and Sportsmen’s Club, and was former president of the Mitchell Little League and Babe Ruth League. He was a member of the Mt. Horeb Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 12, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Monday at the funeral home.
