SESSER, ILLINOIS Robert L. Ferrel, 72, of Sesser, Illinois, and formerly of West Baden Springs, passed away at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2009, at the Waters of Salem in Salem, Indiana.
Born December 30, 1936, in West Baden Springs, he was the son of Robert Kenneth and Glendale W. (Seals) Ferrel.
He graduated from West Baden Springs High School and was a U. S. Army veteran retiring in 1976.

His parents preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Ames Chapel Cemetery with military honors accorded by Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250 and Marvin R. Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
