MITCHELL – Robert “Bob” Martin, 82, Mitchell, passed away at 5:00 a.m. Monday, February 12, at Dunn Memorial Hospital, Bedford.
Born November 18, 1924, in Lawrence County, he was the son of William Willie and Lulu (Allen) Martin. He married Marjoria Fay Hunsucker January 26, 1947.
He retired from Crawford-Morris Lumber Company, and was a member of Bono United Methodist Church.
He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II.

His parents; brothers, Bill, Raymond, Roy, and Russell Martin; sisters, Mary Ticen, Lucille Helms, Rose Hoggatt, and Ruby Payton; and a grandson preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at Chastain Funeral Home Thursday, February 15, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Hugh Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Talbott Cemetery with military honors accorded by Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No.250 and Marvin R. Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Thursday.
