PAOLI – Thomas Ricky “Rick” Triplett, 66, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025, at U of L Health Jewish Hospital.

Born March 14, 1959 in Letcher County, Kentucky, he was the son of Tom and Carol Sue (Baker) Triplett.  He married Sandy Hagemier in 1986 and she survives.

Rick was a 1978 graduate of Mitchell High School.  He worked as a truck driver and diesel mechanic for Hancock Trucking.  Rick was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post No. 250.  He enjoyed being in his workshop; whether it was metal work, woodworking, working on cars, or even hot rods.  Riding motorcycles was also one of his passions.  He was very artistic and liked to paint as well.  Rick loved his family dearly.

Surviving are his wife, Sandy Triplett of Paoli; children, Nathan (Rebecca) Kemple of Orleans, Krystle Triplett of Paoli, and Skyler Triplett of Paoli; siblings, Brenda Kellams of Mitchell, Jack (Angie) Triplett of Huron, Linda Wright of Huron, and Mike Triplett of Scottsburg; and his many grandcats.

His parents and brother, Glendal Hall, preceded him in death.

Cremation has been chosen.  A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

    We are so very sorry and sad that you have lost your loved one but he is not lost he is in our gods memory and you will be with Rick again soon in gods due time , it’s hard you will so miss him terribly , remember you have family and friends who share in your grief , reach out to them as you need to that will also help in their healing .     Silverback or Big Rick you were called many times over the years,.You will be missed greatly, you were the glue to the family but knowing you are with mom and Dad and Glenn makes it a little easier. God has taken you home, so watch over us until we see you again

    He was such a loving big brother. He always called me his "baby sis." I will miss him so much till the resurrection. Then we will both have new bodies..bodies that have no pain and everything works. Even our minds will never have brain fog. Knowing that is what makes it bearable. Like my Sister said.."There were 6 of us..now only 4." (That's including our Brother Glendale Hall from Kentucky who is also asleep in death waiting to be resurrected. )
